Ginger Skillet Mushrooms

Meyer lemons meet wild mushrooms in the cast iron skillet recipe from Austin, Texas.

Need

1/2 lb mixture of mushrooms you love. Darrell cooked organic maitake (hen of woods) and bunashimeji (beech), but a mix of oyster, crimini, portobello and white or brown button works, too.

1/2 TBS Ginger paste

1/2 TBS Ginger root

1 TBS If & When Cumin Garlic Preserved Meyer Lemon Paste

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Do

"Hit the mushrooms with some cracked lemon pepper, ginger paste, shaved ginger root and of course your amazing Meyer lemon paste in the cast iron skillet on a high flame to char the 'shrooms." - Darrell

Note - We like big, bold flavors because we love our Meyer lemons. But that's not for everyone. For a milder flavor, begin with teaspoon measurements above, and add more to taste.
